I decided to get a journal since I needed somewhere I could list some back copies of New Stitches that I have available (the post listing them will appear later), and the messageboard I was using for my site doesn't send me a notice when it's updated, while Livejournal emails me notification of comments.
Since I have this LJ I'll probably start using it for other notices and updates about interesting things - and the next thing I know I'll be updating every day :-)
